I watched "Photo Genius" do a demo using Luminar Neo last night, and it was impressive. Of course, anything can look impressive with an expert using it. Have any of you used Luminar Neo? Like most other programs, it's available as a "rental" or for $109 outright without the Extensions. You can buy the Extensions for $209. It's odd that the Extensions are almost twice the price of the program. Is the program any good without the extensions?

I purchased the program without the extensions-will keep Exposure X7 because I also have Snap Art that works with X7.
Luminar is the best program for me. Editing time has been reduced and I am happy with the results.
Videos by Clever Photographer, Jim Nix and Digital Photo Mentor are very good. Not much to lose with the free trial.

I still can't figure out what comes with the basic package. Background removal is an extension. They offer a free download, but does that include a free installation? I'll have to try it.

I read your post when it was about post that were just coming. I was impressed with what I read, and I read everything I could find. I finally clicked on the main link about extensions and I saw several options; one of them was a special for $69 that would only last for a short while, but I am going to have to read it again. Try and find that special that I saw under "buying extension".

Not a chance. I have Luminar 4 and Luminar AI and those programs are DOA with the NEO release. Skylum releases half baked software and then dumps it for some new half baked software.

I also have both and I am using a Mac Studio and Neo is slow. Ai and 4 runs faster. But I am tired of have to keep buying add on.

jerryc41 you're never going to get that red car for 65 bucks!!!!!!

After downloading the program, they offered it to me for $64 for two machines. That's a lot better than $109 for one. I have a week to decide.

Thanks. Take a look at the screen shot below. Does the base program have that list of tools on the right?

The demos I see online look good, but I have to be able to do them, too. I like the sky and background replacement, but only if I can do them.

One guy said that the new ON1 "will blow your mind." I doubt it.

EDIT: This is funny. I was installing ON1 RAW 2022, but it said there's something running that interferes with it - probably Luminar. It wants no competition!
