Not in FF, but Fuji, Olympus, & Panasonic in aps-c, m4/3. I happen to prefer the hinged LCD for nature, landscape, street, & copy-camera operation, but have not invested in FF because of your other point, manufacturers maintaining high market prices thru restriction of options. The particular image qualities Nikons produce are very appealing to me, but FF Nikon lens prices, while perhaps necessary to keep Nikon in business, are more than I wish to spend on a hobby that, for me, is not a profit-turning activity. I have various Olympus and Panasonic cameras, some with hinged, some with articulated, LCDs— and find the size, bulk, and price of lenses, as well as the bodies, quite agreeable. The limitations sometimes ascribed to m4/3 are limitations only if you think they are.

Canon Adapters work just fine, I shoot a R5 and the only RF lens I have is the 24-105 f/4 that came with the original R that I traded a high end lens for. I kept all my EF glass and don't have a problem using my Sigma Art lenses and my Canon EF lenses on the R5. I see no need for the RF glass, it is expensive and I don't think that it will make that much of a difference.

Acoarst it wont "make that that much of a difference". Youve seen it for yourself. But insignificant differences are the lifeblood of 14 page diatribes around here. (OBTW, welcome to page 9 !)

Minuscule differences provide endless entertainment from amongst our "online experts". Its like some perpetual motion dream machine. Input just a negigible amount of energy and it runs forever.

We now return you to "Best Lense for Tour of Peoria", already in progress.

I only use the screen for menu and review images and thus articulating screen is not needed. I don't use for shooting.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I am way to gentle with my cameras and would hate to have something pop off or snap off or slide off. I’m not keen on losing stuff like screens, hot shoes and even the occasional camera mount.

Not if you are a card carrying UHH member. If so, you buy the Chevy, then post at least once a day telling everybody else they NEED! to do the same.

Two wise guy comments on the same topic.

I don’t post here very often, I mostly glance at the digest, skim the topics I’m interested in and then delete the email. The OP asked which brands had articulating screens, which I answered. I didn’t pass judgment as a few others have. I find this discussion board extremely toxic, which is why I rarely post. I’ve seen the same on cycling forums, so it is not out of the ordinary. I no longer waste my time on those either. I’m sure that many people post responses which they would never say to someone’s face, especially when the subject is heated(which this shouldn’t have been). I’m sure I’m guilty of it as well. I may just unsubscribe since I seem to get little value out of it. (and be amused by the “this isn’t an airport……” comments that would prove my point.)

UHH survives in spite of what goes on. Two people can have a knock down battle over RAW vs JPG, but at the end of the day they can agree on something else. It does amaze me when people who hardly participate make a point of announcing that they may leave. The question then becomes, will they be missed.

BTW - UHH has no unsubscribe. Like it or not, you are part of the family.

I have been shooting Canon cameras since the AE1. I am not a professional and have been brand loyal. This past week Canon told Vitrox to quit making RF lenses and Tamron has made the decision to not make any RF lenses and I suspect that Sigma will follow suit. In my opinion, this is Canon creating a monopoly. I don't like being told what I can and can buy. I have the EOS R and was waiting for the EOS R update. One reason I stayed with Canon is that I love the articulating screen. I don't want to give this up. What other cameras also have fully articulating screens?

I left here several years ago, proving the fact that nobody really matters.
That's OK.

Today I returned for a quick visit, and found a question I can actually answer.
The Pentax "K-70" has a truly articulating LED.

Panasonic Lumix has fully articulating screens on some of their cameras, both full frame and Micro 4/3. The one on the GH6 tilts, swivels, goes into selfie mode, and fixes dinner in a flash! (Well, I fibbed a bit on that last one!)

Lumix, OMDS (formerly Olympus), and Black Magic Designs share the Micro 4/3 lens mount, and several third party companies make Micro 4/3 lenses for them. Leica makes a lot of the designs and glass in higher end "Panasonic Leica" Micro 4/3 lenses. There are already over a hundred Micro 4/3 lenses. Many SLR and dSLR lenses can be adapted to Micro 4/3 bodies with dumb adapters, smart adapters, and speed boosters (and yes, they really do boost the speed of full frame lenses by a stop or more!).

On the full frame side, Leica, Panasonic Lumix, and Sigma all make 'L' Mount lenses for their cameras, so there's rapidly expanding choice there. Leica is open to licensing the 'L' mount to others, as well.

In this case the OP loves Canon but a little upset because he thinks Canon screwed him. Perhaps if we wait 30 years and in 20/20 hind sight we recognize that this is Canon best move.

That happened when the EF came out and the Nikon fanboys had all kinds of rude things to say.
And you are correct, Canon destroyed Nikon in the pro and amateur market to where Nikon is now 3 or4 depending on the report being read.
The Nikon owners also could not admit the 9 mount changes Nikon went through and many of those were incompatible with various models to the point of needing a score card to keep track of what worked with what then the Z came along and made obsolete virtually all F lenses except for the very most recent ones that will work when adapted.
