Point and shoot camera with a wide zoom lens. Something small enough to slip in a pocket, or swing on your wtist with a lanyard.

The Animal Kingdom is like a zoo. That day, you'd like the 70-200. Otherwise, the 24-105 is the only lens needed.

Our Disney trip with the grands, I carried only a Sony RX100M7. I wanted to enjoy the kids and not fight the gear. The camera produced great memories in almost every setting. There were only a couple of times a brighter lens would have helped but it did not outweigh the convenience.

Adult only trip...I would take the gear.

My family (20 of us) will be going to Disney World in 3 weeks. I don't want to carry a lot of lenses. Which one Canon lens would you recommend to take with my R6?
RF 24-70 f/2.8L
RF 70-200 f/2.8L
RF 24-105 f/4L

Thanks in advance.

Which format? If full frame, I'd take the 24-105. If APS-C, then 24-70. The trade-off with APS-C is nearly equal, except at the wide angle end, where the crop factor really bites. The extra stop you get with the 24-70 is balanced out by the drop of about a stop in high ISO performance on APS-C.

The one time I took a 70-200 into Disney parks, I regretted it. I used it for three scenes that were better handled with the 24-70. My big bag kept banging into people and things. Putting it in my lap on rides was not always an option. That lens was just extra bulk and weight.

These days, I'm using Micro 4/3, so I take a 12-35 (the 24-70 equivalent), a 30mm macro, and a 35-100 (the 70-200 equivalent). It all fits in a small backpack with a lot of other stuff.

I go to Disney World several times a year and mostly use my 24-105 f/4.

With 20 people going mount the 24-105 on the camera. Then have somebody else carry the 70-200 for you. They're family!!!

I'm really not trying to be disrespectful, but you must be an experienced shooter if you have three Canon L lenses. You know what those lenses are capable of, you know the range they cover, and you know how you like to shoot. You also know how big they are and the relative weight of your kit when each is mounted. I assume you are familiar with the IQ of each and how well each performs in good light and low light. What advice could anybody here possibly give you that you couldn't just as easily figure out on your own?

Having said that, I would take the 24-105. If you want a one lens solution, it will give you a wider focal range in a fairly lightweight package compared to the 24-70. I can't imagine why you would want to use the 70-200 as your only lens at Disney world on a family trip. The IQ of the 24-105 is not as good as your other two lenses and it is a stop of light slower, but I still think it would be the best all around choice.

If someone has never been to Disneyland they have no idea what variety of subjects they will encounter.

Your post was condescending to say the least, ignorant at best!

If you start by saying that you are not trying to be disrespectful, does that mean you can be disrespectful without even trying? Not the greatest trait to be proud of.

Of your three lenses, I'd take the 24-105.

But the best thing I ever got for going to Disney is my SX710HS. It's the size of a pack of cigarettes. Easily carries in a small belt loop case (recommended). It's incredibly light, compared to what you are planning on taking. You don't have to go through the bag check line. It has an incredible zoom. Is great in low light. Is less than $400. Any of that series, 710, 720, 730, 740, is pretty much the same. 20.2 MP. I got a lot of good and great photos, very few bummers. Pretty much left the big rig locked up in the room safe.

Down side for some, live view screen only, no viewfinder (trust the autofocus), jepg, no RAW, the menu logic is a pain for me.

Just my 2¢.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses and unanimous suggestions. Great suggestions (Greenwork, etc) on the rain protection and  (Strodav) on a fast prime lens.  Thanks for suggested shooting locations Red6!
This trip was planned 3 years ago, then COVID delayed us going. I just turned 73 and both of our adult daughters and families are going with us. I hate the heat, but it has been over 30 years since we last went.  We go in a couple of weeks.   I have an electric mobility cart rented for my wife so she may be holding my stuff at times.
Thanks everyone.  I will order the 24-105 lens today.

mwsilvers - I only own the 24-70L, so my real decision was do I spend money on a new lens to get better capability that the 24-105L lens offers which is why I asked the question. Based on everyone's input, I will purchase the 24-105L that I have been considering buying anyway.

Be sure to take:

Hat
Sunscreen — best available
Sunglasses
WATER (buy in park if they won't let you bring a water bottle in the gate)
Medications, if you take them
Pain reliever for headaches, backaches, aching feet...

Best times to go are early on middle weekdays.

Other than the Magic Kingdom, our family has had the best times in Orlando at Universal Studios, but we love EPCOT, too.

Image below is Spaceship Earth, EPCOT. It is derived from a Kodachrome slide I made in August, 1983. Mods in Photoshop Neural Filters and Lightroom Classic.

Probably someone already said use <quote reply>?

Are you saying you have the original copy of the EF 24-70L? Are you saying you're going to buy the vII for the EF 24-105L? Are you saying these are all EF lenses or some (all) are RF lenses?

People answered the mail as presented. No one said buy a new lens for Disney. Some even said you'd be better served with a pocket-sized camera than any DSLR / MILC options.

You're really twisted the feedback into saying have a GAS attack. Reading the original post and now this update, I really can't figure what your current situation is exactly. The 24-105 focal length is more versatile, but the 24-70 is the better image quality. This has been true in both the EF and RF lines. Having both lenses is a luxury, but a waste if there's any issues on funding for both.
