For many years a group of guys have gathered off Waikiki around 9-12 midnight to surf under the moon light …some of them have LED lights on their boards …

IMHO …, this is a hard shot to beat .. it’s a moving target off the light of a full moon ..more info than that would infringe on the proprietary aspects ..

A hint .., a boat with a powerful light …and timing ….

Nice, I like even with the clouds. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Bravo! One of the most interesting surfing images I have seen; most are so boring and the same thing over and over. I am concerned about the hours though. Isn't that prime time for shark feeding?

Way cool. I’m with others. Perhaps a bit tighter! Really great shot.

Your special photograph reflects several dynamics together -- one of the human figure standing out in contrast to a strong natural phenomenon of an ocean wave breaking; and one of an effective composition technique known as layering, with the human figure sandwiched between two layers; and another of tonal contrast within the frame, transitioning from white to black; and finally the inherent theme of man actively welcoming a natural power with his arms outspread.

You have captured a most striking subject with your well-done photograph.

In closing, I notice another attractive aspect of your photograph. The light illuminating the face of the surfer reflects from the white foaming wave ahead of him.

Bravo and congratulations for your outstanding photograph.

Anotherview …, thnx , my brother told me the same thing ..,about the green shadow of the board .., it was a shadow that turned green during processing .., I had just left it in .., additionally as mentioned.., about cropping to remove the reflected light in the clouds.., I just took it out .., the main focus should be on the surfer ..,

Thnx all …
