I'm pretty sure he has a dead reed trailing from his mouth. And thank you, I'm glad it wasn't me, also! I do have the lens for it, but these guys were pretty close, most of these shots were dialed back to 400mm from the max 500mm. And we stayed in the truck because some of them were approaching the bank and the truck maybe twenty feet away from us. I was starting to think about how far we could go on Gator bitten tires! Very bold and active compared to what I'm used to seeing in the swamp.

an unforgettable day in the truck with the gators up close!
When you retired from the area, did you do an inventory, just in case? How about 'Gator nibble bites on the shoes?
Great shots!
Thanks! I did get out of the truck momentarily for a bird photo...yeah, I know, a stink'in bird photo! So yeah, I had to take inventory before we went on with the drive!
That's a lot of gators in one shot! No swimming signs I hope.
No, there weren't any "NO Swimming" signs. But there is always a Gator or two around so they serve the same purpose! Yeah, I'm thinking the reason they were so riled up was so many in one small area. But the question remains, why so many in one small area!!?? It's a mystery to me.
Lots of gators there! Excellent set Keith especially enjoyed the last one.
Thank you, Sylvia! I'm glad you liked them! Yeah, not exactly sure how that last one happened. One commentor pointed out what I was already thinking...That splash doesn't look like a Gator splash, but I have no idea what else it could have been. A GIANT Gator, maybe! But a great splash, never-the-less!
