Wow, lots of gators!
Yep, what my brother would call a grunch of Gators!
Looks like a popular swimming hole.
Wonderful set of impressive Gators that are extremely active and willing to expend some energy. Unusual to find so many large gators together in the wild. Is it mating season ??
Looks like a good place not to go swim! Great shots.

No birds!! Early in the morning and in the shade, but still worth posting, I think.

Actually, mating season is over, I think. I don't know how long the season lasts but there are a couple places on the wildlife drive that have been roped off to protect nest sites. We have photos of a BIG mama gator laying under the rope, next to a sign. Yep, I agree, from my experience this is very unusual!

I'm pretty sure he has a dead reed trailing from his mouth. And thank you, I'm glad it wasn't me, also!
I do have the lens for it, but these guys were pretty close, most of these shots were dialed back to 400mm from the max 500mm. And we stayed in the truck because some of them were approaching the bank and the truck maybe twenty feet away from us. I was starting to think about how far we could go on Gator bitten tires! Very bold and active compared to what I'm used to seeing in the swamp.

When you retired from the area, did you do an inventory, just in case? How about 'Gator nibble bites on the shoes?
Great shots!
That's a lot of gators in one shot! No swimming signs I hope.
Hi Chief, Nice photos! Reminds me of the old swimming pond at our farm. No alligators, just a lot of water moccasins.
Neat set Chief. Looks like that Lake is loaded with gators.
