The moon (a few percent shy of full) is one of several I photo'd over the years and keep in a folder for composites. The flowers I shot in daylight last week. The beams are just low-opacity brushwork. Most of the glow and contrast are from a Topaz Studio 2 filter called "city flare" that I reduced to 50 percent opacity.

Feedback and suggestions welcomed.

Wonderful results. Seems many here use some form of Topaz.

Thanks Frank. My first playful pp application after Picasa was Topaz Simplify. I accidently learned last year when browsing my Topaz account that I could download Studio 2 free, as a replacement for some of my earlier purchases that were no longer available or supported.

As you know, often a reduced opacity and/or combination with other effects such as textures, or used in a blend mode other than normal, can result in fun and varied looks outside of the pre-set.

The flowers without the moon could stand on their own and then one would just assume what the lighting could be.

I really like how you managed the lighting of the flowers.

I really like this creative image. Love the way you handled the moon light on the flower and still have the veins of the flower showing. I tried a bit more space to the left side of the leaves, but it didn't offer the same amount of tension that your original crop does. Great the way it is. Bev

Many thanks. The result is much more creation than capture, however
