There are lots of how-to videos on YouTube, most of which I ignore So, this result is from what I already know and what I don't know. The moon (a few percent shy of full) is one of several I photo'd over the years and keep in a folder for composites. The flowers I shot in daylight last week. The beams are just low-opacity brushwork. Most of the glow and contrast are from a Topaz Studio 2 filter called "city flare" that I reduced to 50 percent opacity.

Feedback and suggestions welcomed.

I like this Linda, it’s a perfect composition, the flowers are beautiful and the colour is spot-on. Just wish the moon was round - a bit of Free Transform or Liquify would have it sorted soon enough!
Now, if you avoid online tuts, how have you learned to do that?

Enchanting, if it were the only thing we saw in a dark room then hypnotic would be the effect.

The moon was not in full phase. You're asking me to be fanciful instead of real? Perhaps we should stretch it? Here's what I started with (cropped from original photo).

Regarding learning, I guess most has come from years on UHH with guidance from generous members, along with fearless - ha ha - experimentation. I've also looked at a few tutorials when curiosity or frustration got the best of me.

Ken, Larry and Steve, thank you kindly! I appreciate your interest, and am always willing to share my process for what little it might contribute (I'm not one of the "pros" here ).
