My address is 2895, guy down the street is 2985. Post Office, Fed-X, UPS all get us mixed up. My neighbor and I have gotten to be pretty good friends, walking back and forth to each other's house with a misdelivery.

I have the same experience at least once a year, sometimes more. Our street number is 4822 and the neighbor's is 4922. It is about half a mile away and so we drive their packages to them. GRRR!

When I left this morning, there was a lunch order at the building front door from Door Dash. When I got back 4 hours later, it was still sitting there in the sun. Wrong name for anyone in the building. I threw it away. Are there any other responsible residents at your address?

I got an email from DoorDash thanking us for using them for a food order a few weeks ago. Except we have never used DoorDash and we certainly did not order food from some grill in NJ (we live in GA). Thank goodness our CC company caught it before I even got the email from DoorDash. The CC company denied the charges and issued us a new CC. About forty minutes later I got a second email from DoorDash with a picture of two brown paper bags put in front of a door that looked like it was inside a carpeted hallway (assumed this was a hotel).

So some scam artist got a free dinner, and the grill and DoorDash got diddly squat.

I think DoorDash should change their policy of no-contact delivery to signatures to avoid such scams.

I ordered a printer from B&H last week, delivery was scheduled for Wed., August 3rd with Fed-ex. At 7 p.m. last night I got an e-mail stating that my package had been delivered. Strange, because I have a ring doorbell and it showed no activity and there was no package at my door. I called B&H first thing this morning to let them know that I had not received the package and they said they would look into it. I also checked with many neighbors in case it had been delivered somewhere else by mistake. B&H sent me an e-mail stating that Fed-ex said it was delivered - end of discussion. So, am I out $700? Neither company seems to be concerned about this. I have been ordering from B&H for almost 20 years. Last month I spent $5,000 on a new camera. Do I have any recourse on this matter?

I have had that happen several times. And received it the next day. For some reason, the driver records delivered when it is not actually delivered??? I've often wondered if they do that to make the expedited delivery time. Wait it out for a day and see what happens.

If they are using the post office for the last leg of the trip, they may very well have delivered it....to them. That happens quite often lately, but there is no indication anywhere that is how it is being delivered. I was frustrated at first, but now I know the routine and simply wait for the final delivery.

It probably was delivered, but where? We have new UPS drivers almost every day, so they don't know the neighborhood. My neighbors and I have had to exchange mis-delivered packages several times. When they say it was delivered, it can be difficult to find a solution. Good luck! Keep us informed.

I don’t know if you live in a single family house, condo, apartment, etc. Oftentimes in multiple dwelling homes packages are delivered to wrong units, or even dwellings near by.
Try walking around the neighborhood a little. I live in a townhouse and sometimes find my packages at another door near by. Of course you have a better chance of finding it the same day it was delivered.

If you are not getting a positive response from either, Call your credit card company to dispute the charge.

Best solution.

I have discovered packages from Fed X thrown behind bushes, wrong address, one pkg lying in the street at the end of my driveway. I let people know not to send me pkgs from Fed X.

This happens more often than you might think. Closing the barn door after the horse has escaped. but Fedex , UPS and other carriers typically have alternate sites for package pickup. For expensive items, I always log onto the carrier and schedule the delivery for pickup at one of their alternate sites. For less expensive items, I allow their delivery to my doorstep and argue with them when an item is not delivered to me. Sometimes my neighbors and I swap miss deliveries. Good luck with Fedex.

So far, I have had no problems with FedEx, but a lot of damage issues with UPS. I have outdoor camers that cover the front and sides of the house---BUT, anytime I order online, I use an Amex card, and they have so far resolved EVERY dispute in my favor. B&H is the shipper, they chose the carrier, they are ultimately responsible for the safe, undamaged delivery of their items (Unless they have clearly specified that all items are shipped "FOB New York.")
If they give you the runaround, WRITE your credit card company, outlining the non-delivery AND your ring camera evidence. As others have mentioned, you may receive it on a different day. I can say, from 30 years in logistics, that the New York hub of any carrier is a problem for theft.

I would do a police report for theft, this will assist in your case, it also let's the police know of a potential issues with package theft.

I recently ordered a lens from B and H. I happened to be outside when the FedEx truck arrived. He brought me two packages that didn't feel heavy enough to be a lens. Then I saw that they were addressed to a house number 7703. Mine is 7603.

I ran and chased the driver and gave him the packages. He took them and went into the truck and brought me my lens. A beautiful Canon RF 70-200 f:/2.8. I love the lens.

The driver said it was near the end of a long shift and he was very tired, and apologized.

They try to get ir right but mistakes do happen. The item may well have been delivered to the wrong address. I have also had packages deposited in front of my garage door in the rain. Fortunately the contents were unharmed. Some drivers use poor judgement.

In any case, the delivery company is responsible and B and H has far more clout than you. They need to demand action.

It's quite amazing how irresponsible FedEx is at times. A few weeks ago, I had a hazardous material order with signature required delivered at the end of my neighbor's driveway just off the side of our rural road. The package contained 8lbs of a highly flammable material. Fortunately, I saw them drop it off and was able to quickly retrieve it. The driver even signed my name.
