Somewhat related - You can now buy a large, steel box to accept deliveries of packages. Unless the porch pirate hauls the whole thing away, your package is safe.

Miracle of all miracles! My printer has been found. Fed-ex delivered it to the wrong house and the driver went back and retrieved it this morning. Now that it has sat outside for 3 days in the Florida sun and daily rain, let's see if it works. He claims it was under an overhang. Thanks for all your suggestions and I will keep those suggestions in mind for my next delivery. Also, a ring doorbell is invaluable.

I have problems with FedEx about 1 out of 3 deliveries. Camera is on the gate and drive entrance, but no FedEx. If you have any valuable items, have it shipped for pickup only.

If your fed-ex driver is like the one we have delivering , he leaves packages at the wrong place all the time . My brother called fed-ex and complained . He said he was told their drivers don't make mistakes . And that driver kept his job and still delivering a lot of packages to the wrong place . I feel your pain .Tommy

Personally, I wouldn't even bother trying the printer, just box it back up and return it, requesting a replacement with an explanation as to why. Who knows what underlying damage there might be that may show up later. Hopefully B&H would cover the return shipping but, if not, I'd pay myself and look for the printer at Adorama, Amazon, etc. That Payboo card might save taxes, but at what cost?

I just returned a weed whacker to Amazon because the product box was damaged (UPS), didn't even bother to open it; replacement requested and received.

I had a FedEx driver leave packages in the back of my pickup truck down in my driveway. And they weren’t even mine. Called FedEx and told them and they said, sorry, those packages can not be picked up. After complaining to them they said there may or may not be someone to come and pick them up. 3 days later I finally took them to the right address.
Another FedEx delivery guy left my package down in the driveway next to the garbage can. Barely saw it.
Another driver left a huge heavy box with a grill in it right in the middle of our walkway like 10 feet from the front door. At our age my wife and I barely got it out of the way to get to the house.
We have video cameras with views all around. I captured the images, printed them out and sent them to customer service at headquarters.

I've received many damaged boxes, but never a damaged product. I'd be willing to give it a try before waiting another couple of weeks to get what I ordered.

I knew there was a problem when the box was "out for delivery" at 8:00 but hadn't been delivered by 21:00. Delivered the next day with visible "tampering", shipping box opened and resealed.

Best case, the original product box had fallen out of the Amazon box due to insufficient tape; the product box itself was also resealed. Worst case, the product had been tampered with, battery exchanged?

Major companies have outlet stores/warehouses where products with "cosmetic damage to box" are sold at a discount.

One thing when the shipping box is damaged, another when the product box itself is damaged or has been opened. If I pay for "New", I expect "New ".

Amazon replacement arrived in 3 days.
