Their last gasp…ceased operations a few years later. There was even a supercharged performance version of the Avanti. Studebaker goes back a long way, to just before 1900 and had a big hit with their Hawk series in the 50s, a design by Raymond Lowey if I recall, supposedly stolen from Pininfarina. Hows that for a fork off this silly thread?

Really love how you fork off.

Forking deeper, Studebaker made those verrrry rugged Connestoga wagons that headed west over rough terrain. Indiana was the perfect location, at South Bend IIRC. Acoarst, a bend often results from old Saint Joseph forking off.

I suppose this is The Bend.

Yeah, I love Studebakers too. They were always special cars.
