I just bought the new Canon EOS R7 system. I've shot Nikon for years and have acquired a number of lenses and D600 and D5500 camera bodies along with two flash units.
I was going to take them to B&H to sell them. Is there a better place to sell them?
I go with KEH.
I do not like hassles.
Yes, on occasion I sell on eBay and let my wife handle everything.
Again I am not into hassles.
Thanks to everyone for their advice.
I sold film Olympus cameras and lenses to KEH and found them fair and easy to work with.
I went to a buying event that Keh had here in the Chicago area. While I could have done better selling the individual pieces, why go through the hassle? I walked away with a reasonable in store credit with an additional 10% off an in-store purchase.
Thanks to everyone for their advice.

I always sell on eBay. I check out the going prices first. I set a bye it now fixed price with a good accurate description and lost of very clear photos. I always offer low or free freight with no international buyers but that's only because I live in Australia where postage is to expensive. I also accept returns because buyers will feel more confident.

If you're close enough to B&H, that would be a good solution. Walk in with gear, and walk out with cash -just the opposite of a usual camera store experience. Could you get more money by selling your things some other way? Of course! How much time and effort are you willing to spend to get a little bit more? Is your goal to get some money for your gear or to make money by selling your gear? No matter how much you get for it, when you tell someone, they will say, "What?! I would have given you twice that much!"
Whatever B&H offers you will be more than you have now.

When I lived on Long Island I sold, in person, to B&H a couple of times. Always a good experience.

Can’t beat Hunt camera & video
If you want to maximize the sale price -- either use eBay or try to sell it privately (like here).
If you want to minimize the hassle, somewhere like KEH or MPB or many of the others that people here have mentioned. But note that these stores make a profit, so their "buy price" is significantly lower than their "sell price".
IF you go with KEH MPB, et al, you may have to worry a bit about the condition -- Recent experience, I bought a used lens from Roberts (listed as "like new") a few months later (after the return period) I sold to MPB as partial payment on a different lens. After reviewing the lens, MPB wrote back to me and said that they could offer me the "Excellent" price, but not "Like New" because of their grading system. Different inspectors have different criteria, and I don't fault either Roberts or MPB (and to be fair, when I checked, MPB appears to have re-listed the lens as "excellent" so they're consistent).
The advantage of MBP is that they send a shipping label which includes insurance. Roberts does not and don't know about KEH or B&H.

Keep in mind whoever you sell to, the change in the tax law depending on how you accept payment. Accepting a “non friends and family” payment from from Venmo or PayPal will get you a 1099 at the end of the year if cumulative sales are over $600. If you sell to the likes of KEH, MPB, B&H, etc, I would ask about tax implications. I recently sold items here on UHH and the only payment I would accept was a personal check or “friends and family” PayPal.
To each his own. You may not generate a paper trail for the tax collector, and may pay a lower (or no) sales commission, but PayPal Friends and Family does not offer the robust buyer protections that apply to arms' length transactions, so might well generate a lower sales price from a savvy buyer. Ditto for a personal check.
