It's a great shot. Lighting not as good as hoped perhaps.

For a number of years, I plotted and planned and finally got to Mont St Michel for a photo op. And although I waited for the weather to be just what I needed, in that area of the World the weather does what it wants to do on the shortest of notice. The photo is okay, but the light sucks! I blame Mother Nature!!! ...Whoa - was that lightning?!?

I shall return!!!

This is a beautiful image and reminds me of one of all time favorite first sentences from Henry Adam's classic "Mont St Michel and Chartres -- " The archangel loved heights".

WOW, really excellent image. I would print it at least 36inches wide, very dramatic.

Thank you! My problem with it is that it is the late afternoon Sun, which is the direct opposite of what would be the best lighting right after dawn. And it was 90 degrees F, with a bit of haze to contend with. Next time, I will rise with the roosters and get the shot I should have taken, to begin with! Thanks, again.
