For a number of years, I plotted and planned and finally got to Mont St Michel for a photo op. And although I waited for the weather to be just what I needed, in that area of the World the weather does what it wants to do on the shortest of notice. The photo is okay, but the light sucks! I blame Mother Nature!!! ...Whoa - was that lightning?!?
I shall return!!!
Nice shot. I understand you'd better be prepared for a lot of walking if you're going to Mont St Michel
That is an impressive photo.

You can walk, but there are free shuttles that get you right to the location. I did walk quite a bit around the area - that is not a problem. The difficulty is walking up and down the streets and stairwells - INSIDE of the place!!!
I think it is a fine picture. It shows what it looked like at that time of day on that day. There are plenty of things you could do in LR and PS to artificially enhance it but you captured the scene as it was at the time. A little negative EC might have helped but what you captured is a good starting point for artistic expression in PP. Just beware when someone on here tells you you should have used your popup flash.
Walking thru those streets and lanes are great fun and offer many photo opportunities. I hope you enjoyed them and recognized the photo opportunities they offered---- even the street vendors selling purple plastic swords and other trinkets. And don't forget that people have been selling souvenirs on those streets for about 1000 years.

Agree with all your comments - and thank you. Your point about the vendors selling for the past centuries is something I had not thought about. That is a GREAT idea to contemplate! Thanks again.

Thanks to all for your kind comments!
A nice size enlargement should be hanging on your wall.
