Sunday, May 29, 2022…during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. It was a beautiful sunny day, sitting on the patio, the grill was going well, laughing and photographing friends. Put the camera down on the table and got up to refresh my drink…and then I heard the sound, that horrible “clunk/thud” sound....the sound you never want to hear! It took me a moment to compose myself, mutter something indecent, and get over the shock of seeing the camera in pieces on the concrete surface. Yikes, it wasn’t my fault…who me?…..the travel camera had somehow jump off the table and committed suicide…dead and useless on impact. Later, the Canon Customer Service performed the autopsy and said it suffered external and internal injuries and the damaged was beyond repair....as I had suspected. They abruptly returned the camera. Here’s the photo proof. The last picture is the camera's capabilities after the fall.
BTW, I’m finally over the shock and able to post these horrible photos with some humor.....no whining
I just don't know what to do with this dead body....?
Let's LOL.....only humorous sympathetic comments...please

Too bad. Take it out and give it a decent burial then go and buy another one.
It's not suicide. Homicide probably. There's no suicide note.

Thanks Bigmike1.......its no longer in production and won't be replaced....I'm mostly a Fuji shooter (this was my last Canon)....I had really enjoyed it. Rest In Peace

I am so sorry to read about your camera's final moments. It's always hard to lose a friend even if that friend is an "inanimate" object. You shared good times.
