Fabulous photos! I was going to say I liked the last one best, but looking again, they all are wonderful! You're very brave!

We made sure they were dead before taking the nest apart although the small emerging ones were still alive but not for long!

We discovered a hornets' nest on the side of our swimming pool the other day and basically destroyed it with spray before taking it apart which resulted in some very interesting pictures.

Outstanding set! You tell the story very well with your excellent shots! Thanx for sharing this somewhat creepy set!

I''ve been hit in the forehead by a bald-faced hornet. I thought I was hit by a 22. It took some time but I found the nest. It was about 10 yards in front of me and about 15 feet above the ground in a pine tree. They all deserve to die. I can't think of a thing they do that is worthwhile.

I'm allergic to white-faced hornets. I've never seen one b4, but bet these are it. WOW!

Very interesting look inside the wasp's nest. They're quite the architects, aren't they. Had a similar experience many years ago when wasps built a nest on one of the office windows where I worked. Got to watch the nest from the inside while they scurried around while building and maintaining the nest. Didn't see all the details you've got. We spent most of our time trying to figure out which ones were the worker wasps and which ones were the manager wasps. Gutter finally overflowed during a storm and the nest flooded out. But we found out who the manager wasps were. They were the ones who left first and blamed the other wasps.
