Manglesphoto, I'm with you on this. One good service experience outweighs the dozens that aren't. It's not difficult to build a successful business. All it takes is to treat the customers well and to give them more than they expected and they will become customers forever and willing to pay the fair asking prices.

And refer you to others..

It is SO much easier and safer to just strap it on. Never will understand why some one would buy a small gun safe to hold one weapon. If the thief wants the weapon they will just carry the box under their arm and open at their leisure.

These small lock boxes are supposed to be tethered so that they cannot be carried out.

Most everyone who has dealt with Dillon customer service for one of their reloading machines has had the same experience. Almost makes it a pleasure to have a problem.

Why wouldn't you tether it so that someone can't just carry it out. That's why it comes with a steel cable!

Unless it is tethered to the foundation of your home with an anchor chain you will not stop a determined thief. Even a full size floor safe can be broken in to within 15 minutes.
Just carry the weapon whenever you leave the house ... if you are home it won't do you any good at all if it is locked up.

The average burglar is not capable of breaking into a floor safe in 15 minutes. That would be an accomplished burglar who would have specialized tools, like a torch! Your average house thief breaks in and goes through the home in 10 minutes grabbing easily pilfered items, like jewelry or lockboxes. I totally agree with you that a handgun is most effective on your person, but there are occasions when you can't do that and if you haven't invested in a safe then a lockbox has to do. If so it should be tethered to something solid.

I did it with a battery powered cut-off grinder within 10 minutes.

I'll bet that you are a skilled person with good tools and knowledge on their use. As a peace officer for 31 years I dealt with many crooks and can say with confidence that the large majority of them are idiots, which is why they got caught.
