Portraits from a dog class

I am still dogless after more than two years (some of you remember Ted) but I have started attending a dog training class with a friend to fill the gap. Of course I can't just sit there, so I asked permission to bring my camera and zoom lens. I'm no pro at dog portrait photography, but I had fun getting these shots of some good-looking subjects. You can see they are all concentrating very hard.

I say I asked permission to take photos, and I did, but it was after someone suggested "it would be nice" if I brought my camera.

Thanks for looking. I've been enjoying watching these classes, taught by a woman who is an absolute genius with dogs. Thanks also for the note to Ted.

Love all the doggie photos!!! What a very diverse class! The look on #7's face would have me wrapped around his little toe in a heartbeat.

I hope you will post more from future classes.

Dodie
P.S. I miss Ted and I know you miss him terribly. It was always a treat to see him on his adventures.

Thanks, Dodie. Yes I miss that old fart but being around these eager students is good for me.

Is the guy in pic no.5 a "peeking knees"?

These are outstanding. Should be good therapy to get another hiking pal.

All the dogs pictured are mixed breeds. I heard that that one is part Corgi but Pekingese might be lurking in the background. She is by far the naughtiest and most stubborn dog in the group, but in a hilarious way!

Yeah, I don't know what my problem is except that Ted is a very hard act to follow. I had already decided that training was going to be my top priority with my next dog and that the woman in charge of this class would be our teacher...now all I need is a pupil. Thank you for looking.
