Check out the Dell outlet store. Lots of great deals on overstocks and refurbished with full onsite warranties.

( haha - I'm still using Win 7 on two boxes. Probably not able to update either of them, but no interest in doing so anyway. When they quit I will replace them. )

Lenovo laptop is an excellent computer; my wife has had one for over two years, and runs ON1 latest revision, which is quite demanding. Don't even think about installing Windows 11 - Windows 10 will continue to be supported for over three years more - to October 14, 2025.

Some of the laptops for sale have a processor that is not compatible with Win 11. My Lenova laptop does fine with it. Run MS Office Suite, Photoshop and many others. Small solid state "hard-drives" are a pain, so I have externals to plug in when needed.

Correction: My wife just told me it's been 4 years in October since we bought her Lenovo! Time flies - and I never have had much feeling for relative time.

You're not the only one with a "time" problem...

I'm going to get a LOT of flak over my comment here, especially with a group that "like" to hang on to old tech. But here goes... first, I'm and architectural and landscape photographer that does a lot of pano work as well as video work. I shoot with a Nikon D850 and full max resolution RAW files. My workstation is powerful to handle the LARGE files and all the editing in Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz labs apps as well as Studio version of Davinci Resolve. I recently received a commission that required me to shoot a body of work over a 12-month time period and it was impractical to take my workstation on location with me...therefore i needed a robust laptop. I have now used the laptop for two months and LOVE it...it has met all requirements and works nearly as well as my workstation (really...i cannot tell much difference). I searched long and hard for a laptop that would meet my needs. I ended up choosing a Creator Steelseries MSI laptop with 16inch color correct screen to approximate the NEC PA302W 30-Inch color accurate monitor i use for editing on my workstation. The model of the laptop is 2022 MSI Creator Z16P B12UGST-042. yes, it is expensive, and it only comes with Win11 pro installed (had to install Stardock 11 to circumvent the new (and stupid) Microsoft system menu) but i have to say. I have never had a more stable, powerful, do anything laptop. My expectations were shattered in a good way. I'm a VERY happy camper and photo/video creator/editor. I highly recommend should any of you have a need for something that can handle VERY Large pano files and video editing.

Thank you for the vote of confidence & the breadcrumb to ON-1. Can you tell me if it has a way to stack Astro-fotos? Mainly moon & planets. GIMP can do it, but tediously. Siril can too, some what more expeditiously. Anyway I will look into ON1 (It has a great logo). As to buying what you want I prefer to spend shekels on lenses, I shy away from post processing having had a photo-editor at the newspaper: once I had developed the Ektachrome & put the sleeves on his light table I went home.
PS What are the pines in your city? The She-oaks of Australia??

My thought was to use the 128GB SSD for processing Astrofotos for the files Siril digests are ~ ½ the SSD capacity and isn't CPU access to the SSD faster than to the 1-TB HD?
PS I winter near Crystal River, Florida. Do you kayak? I have a Current Designs Libra XT tandem if you like to paddle & bird fotos?

Bert (not) ---

ON1 has focus stacking, but I never have had occasion to use it. I selected ON1 as my primary (almost exclusive) post processing software after looking seriously at many others, well-known and lesser, including Photoshop. I found ON1 to be better at most of the fundamental processes than even the touted “one trick” programs, and complete in what it has available. It certainly is organized in an easy to use way, and offers file management better than Lightroom - and much easier to use. There are almost too many good videos of explanation and instruction produced by ON1; On1 solicits requests from their users, and listens! – implementing much in subsequent refinements.

To answer your other question, there are some 50,000 (real) pine trees in Baguio, out of a total of 2.5 million trees. The principal species is the Benguet pine, Pinus insularis. Interestingly, one of the requirements for obtaining a marriage license here is having planted a pine tree! (We planted one!)

Thanks for the interest; hope I have helped.

Yes, much friendly help ThankYou.
I got a BS in Forestry in the 50s but came out to Colorado to go to grad school and spent years in snow research, tho I retired from TxA&M as a Fotografer after moving on from local paper in 90s.
What is girth of your wedding pine?
