Definitely number 1 for me Linda. I like the darker look and the whole thing looks far more complete than #2.

Thank you Dave! I also tried adding some trees to a distant shoreline, but couldn't find the brushes I wanted (I have been moving stuff from a Windows computer to my MacBook Air). Usually, I don't know when to stop once I get going, which is probably one reason I like the less complicated looks

I couldn't decide between #1 and #2 - and tomorrow may find me with 3 or 4

Also attached is the photo I started with. I call this "harvesting pixels" per MinnieV's term a few years ago. The design of the flattened dead weed lying on the pavement caught my eye, so I photo'd!

The bird is a brush, the primary design is a preset from Studio 2, the moon is mine, as is the brush I used to make the patterns in the water.
Feedback welcomed. br br I couldn't decide betwee... (show quote)

Number one is my favorite.
It is an image that has the mesmerizing power equal to the dancing flames of a roaring fire that captivate the eyes of the beholder, or the tantalizing flavor of a tasty dish that makes the mouth water. . . .

I like the background in #2 and the branches in #1. Not terribly fond of the apparently out-of-round moon or the round air bubbly things in #1.
I also like the original! The weed branches pop out nicely.
As always, you are a whiz at magically producing images.

Lovely! #1 is my pick because of the balance (or pull) between the bird and moon. Nice concept, Linda.

Thank you so much for your time and comments, Ellen. I'm working on a new moon - maybe blue per R.G.'s suggestion
