Our travels in Iceland were truly wondrous. Other than Antarctica, which is similar yet very different, I’ve had never before seen a land that made me think of how our primordial world could have looked when it became cooler. I also hadn’t had to deal with the cold like that since I lived in S Dakota. The cool-cold-icy winds and soaking rain seemed to be the norm while we visited this June. There were some sunny days, but you still had the cold wind to contend with. It was summer there so it reinforces the idea that I wouldn’t want to see what winters are like. I guess we’re just Southern California weather weenies when it comes down to it. Regardless, we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and found ways to manage the weather just fine. Our trouble came in the form of tourists from another place that we came in contact with and Covid reared its ugly head on our group at the end of the tour. We tested positive the second day we were home and have been isolating and taking the Paxlovid drugs. My lady and I are feeling much better now and hope to be over it quickly. Being vaxed and boosted made a big difference.
I was able to find many scenes that interested me and have a few to share.
