Thanks for all the kind remarks. If anyone is interested in shooting fireworks, I used several different settings, and what I listed above gave me the most interesting results. Maybe it was because I was limited in my angle and limited by the smoke.

Just trying to show that I'm paying attention. I knew it when, also.

I know some people prefer “Queensborough Bridge”. It’s like like the “RFK”. Still can’t bring myself to use that name😳

I was on the roof of my apartment building on the East River about 40 blocks north of the barges. The Ed Koch Bridge at 59th St. was directly in line with the blossoms, which at first I thought was going to make it difficult to get some decent shots. Not so, I discovered this morning when I started processing.
I have probably two dozen or more shots like the first, which is typical of fireworks. With the other two, I tried for a different look.
There was a Southwest breeze pushing the smoke over Roosevelt Island and at times obscuring some of the display. It also made for some interesting colors. The light reflected on the river and the river traffic helped me decide to show these.
On the lower right, you can see the cars parked on the southbound FDR to view the fireworks.
