Took my wife to breakfast

Pancakes under a fruit salad. My wife would go for that in a big way. It looks great!
Fortunately, only 5 minutes away is a Breakfast/Lunch place named "Betty Faye's" (Open 7:30 to 2 PM-breakfast until closing and sandwiches/salads for lunch starting at 10 or 11 AM) that makes waffles with a bunch of toppings and she adores their Strawberry Waffles. Bonus, I can put in the order on my computer and do a curbside pickup at their front door 20 minutes later without getting out of my car. It beats waiting in line which on weekends and holidays often goes out into the parking lot.

Betty Faye's also has southern-style biscuits and gravy for me and a selection of various Mexican-style breakfasts - their Chorizo and Eggs are good also. Once I asked if they also did "Chorizo con Papas" (not on the menu) and they just asked if I wanted it made with hashbrowns or their home fries. Seems I hadn't noticed the "Create Your Own Omelet" on the menu. A looooooooooooooooong list of ingredients to pick from and their cook makes it for you, even if it isn't strictly an omelet.

My former colleagues/friends meet every Tue for breakfast at various diners. We’ve been meeting since 1996. Three have passed on in the past 2 years. I’m now 2nd oldest at 86 - still chugging along. I don’t have plans of leaving soon, but I’m not in charge. 😅

Breakfast here is anytime between 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Coffee is sometime between the time I get up to whenever the pot is empty. No lunch!! Sorry, I don't think I can help your growling!
