Will I recognize you by the "my other lens is a 200-500' t-shirt? Ha.

I will be coming from the north. Looks like I have to go west to Jefferson, then finish south to the entrance. That's OK.

Thanks for your veteran insight.

I actually wish they would charge admission to keep the crowds down a little.

For many years I was a coxswain with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and my crew and I regularly worked the Fleet Week air show on San Francisco Bay. Along with other boats and crews we maintained the security zone beneath the air show which included the Blue Angles. Anyone who has seen one of their shows knows that a significant portion of it is low in the air column. One year we were positioned where they flew directly over us lining up on the show box. Multiple times during that show they went over us low enough that we could feel the jet blast and make out the pilots' faces with the naked eye. These are the first photos I have seen that approach the view we had that day. Well done.

Great shots for sure. Many people don't know that this is "follow the leader". The following pilots do what the leader does. Several years ago the Air Force Thunderbirds lost five pilots/planes when the leader went into the ground and the others didn't have time to alter course. Nothing but respect for those people.

Great Shots! Where was your vantage point?

With my best drawing ability, I was in the Photo Pit. Great point to close taxi shots. The green line is the show line.

Being at the end of the show line has advantages as you get the banking for entry or exit of the show line. And disadvantages, not show center.

The font is called Ring bearer from the Lord of the Rings. Found it on some LOTR fan site. (Don't judge!)

I look at other signature blocks all the time, never found a reason to replace this one.
