I’m sure those pilots have really big egos, but when you can do what they do, I figure they can’t really be criticized.

Thanks. From where we were I could get by with a 70-200 f/2.8 on the D500 - which gave me 300mm. That was the first two. The last three was a 200-500 on the D850. As to which is favorite - just about anything with the 70-200 gets the best file to work with. But nice to know the 200-500 works as well.
All the shots were not cropped much - which adds to the quality. I'm getting better at not reaching for shots, and letting them come to me. And that works for this show. And these aircraft. I'm still working on getting the smaller aircraft.
Are you going to Selfridge? I haven't been there before. Not sure what I can get in with, so will probably take D500 with 24-70 for walking around and then switch to 80-400 for the show. Then we'll see what Sunday brings.
