I have a Martin that I absolutely love. The sound is fantastic, plugged or unplugged. My problem is it is not my primary instrument. Piano/keyboards are. So, that being said, my fingers get sore really fast from not playing the guitar as often. So, to get relief, I have to pick up the fender Stratocaster for a while. It’s much easier on the fingers.
Ah, you know the secret! I play both Strats and Teles, but my hands have become so tough that I'm always bending notes on them due to their lighter strings.
Again, I had this guitar made because I can use medium gauge 12s (we went high-end and put Thomastik-Infeld GR112 (George Benson) round wounds on it. They are so smooth, yet with the fine intonation of the guitar, it hardly feels like I'm pressing on them, but I'm not going whacky with inadvertent bends!
