I have been using EBL batteries for awhile but I’m a little disappointed in the time that they hold a charge and the time it takes to charge them. I have 8 in the charger right now and they have been there for almost 8 hours. They probably only have about 12 charges on them. What are you using and do you have good or bad things to say? Appreciate all feedback.
I have had very good performance and longevity with Eneloop rechargeables. I have had only occasional red indicators on my Panasonic chargers (indicates possible failed battery), but when I recharge that individual battery, it recharges just fine - so I think maybe dirty contact on battery or some other anomaly. I think I have had only 1 or two batteries to send to recycle over ~ 6 years out of about 50-60 batteries (mostly AA and a smattering of AAA). I would first try recharging only 4 at a time and then checking recharge on single batteries if you get an error indicator. And it might be worth getting a new/other recharging device (recommend the brand for your batteries) - it could be a defective or unworthy charger ?

Thanks. The charger I have came with the first 8 batteries I bought so I am assuming they are compatible. I will try your suggestion of only 4 at a time.
Neweer(?) seem to be good quality as well
Eneloop is my favorite - they do a good job of holding a charge. I've also been happy with a PowerEx charger.

EBL batteries are not very good. I had the same problem so I search the net and found that overall the Amazon brand is above average. usually in the top 5 in the rankings. Its still cheep so far I bought a 8 pack AA and charger for around 20 bucks to use for remote and Xbox controller been a month now havent need to recharge them yet.
Check out Youtube videos on rechargeable batteries .
Another Eneloop recommendation. I have one set that is 11 years old, in constant use and still holding up well. I use the charger provided with the batteries. Both AAA and AA.

I used to purchase (Costco)/use Eneloop rechargeable AA batts with great results.
Since Costco no longer carries Eneloop brand rechargeable AA batts and based on the testing by Project Farm (below) I have switched to Duracell rechargeable AA batts.
I am happy with the Duracell rechargeable AA batts.
Pretty objective testing here:

I have been using Eneloop and EBL AA and AAA batteries for a while. The EBL have performed well, but I believe the Eneloop are a bit better, though they do cost a lot more, so it's a toss-up. Others - some name brands - that I have tried have been no good! There can be individual bad ones in any brand, however.

I've never used Eneloop but they are made by Panasonic, the same company that makes Canon's batteries, so I would guess that they are pretty good. I've used, for several applications, Energizer rechargeables with good results. I prefer Energizer Ultimate Lithium (non-rechargeable). They seem to last forever and I don't have to keep track of what is or isn't charged, etc.
I agree about the EBL batteries, I use an EBL charger & they take all day to charge. They also don’t appear to hold their charge well. I much prefer IKEA batteries. I use the batteries in trail cameras “Togaurd”. The manufacturers advise using non-rechargeable batteries, but that costs a fortune.
Has anyone tried using Lithium batteries in Trail cameras.
I tried the AA 2800mah EBLs bought off of Amazon and was disappointed as well. They worked OK for a few weeks then started to lose charge when sitting and didn't last as long when in use. I went back to 2700mah rechargeables from Batteries and Bulbs Plus. They hold a charge much longer when sitting and maybe not last as long as Duracells, but they are pretty close.

He has very good videos, but he should talk slower. It's not like YouTube is charging him by the minute.
Unlike many others, he has a good system and good equipment. He doesn't begin by mumbling, "Hey guys. What's goin' on?"

Yet another vote for Eneloops. I have probably 25-30 and have been using them for years with never a failure.
