Very nice shots of the beautiful, revered lotus flower. Love #1 with the bee.
Thank you very much, Hereford. Sacred to Buddhists'. I used to be one of those, sorta, kinda. A long time ago...
And that bee is from my 200~500mm zoom, not a macro!

Nicely done, Chief! These are great and since the kites were absent that day, you made the best of it.
Maybe its time for that prime lens after all?! Not that your zoom didn't perform well with you behind the camera but just sayin'.....

Thanks, Rob! I always seem to be able to make it work, just have to be flexible with the strategy.
Yeah always ready for the lottery win. If I was going to go with a prime it would have to have a significant payoff. 600mm or better I'm thinking and I don't do the teleconverter route. I tried those with film gear and was NOT impressed. As you know, a reasonably fast 600mm or bigger costs BIG BUCKS so there you go. I talked to a guy where I got the Lotus Flower shots who was carrying a Nikon 500mm Pf. Very nice lens, very light, very sharp etc. But I already have a 500mm that works very well for me.
American Lotus.Very nice.

All beauties Keith, especially like #3.
Thank you, Sylvia. Yeah, I don't know why that one isn't getting more traction. It's my favorite by far! And the interesting thing is it's a very hard crop from a 200~500mm lens, not a Macro lens. I was amazed that it worked as well and retained sharpness as well as it did!
