Gee, that is a problem. They sell rubber bands at Staples and other office supply outlets, or you could use the rubber bands that are used to hold bunches of asparagus together at grocery stores (they are special)

"O-Rings" come in all sizes and thicknesses. Hardware stores, auto parts stores, home centers, etc have them.

Yup. Thaz what the OEM parts are in the first place. Its not rocket science. Bring the broken rings to the store and match them up to new ones. Well Ok ... for some folks that last bit does approach rocket science.

How about checking with your dentist?

I don't really have a dentist. The last time I went there, as he was looking in my mouth, he kept repeating two words, "Root canal, root canal, root canal." As long as I can chew, and I'm not in pain, I'll save that $10,000.

The O-ring suggestion is still the best. Buna-N rubber lasts much longer than rubber band stuff.

Best and only. The other useless posters failed to really read the OP. Typical UHH.

Take a look at this link. These are larger, but I note that several of the reviews mention different Rode models, so perhaps this company or some of the others in the ad may make your size: https://www.amazon.com/Boseen-Universal-Replacement-Microphone-Anti-aging/dp/B081RJXVJV/ref=asc_df_B081RJXVJV/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416748412703&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3602206479212798659&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009733&hvtargid=pla-872411424365&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=95587149524&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416748412703&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3602206479212798659&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009733&hvtargid=pla-872411424365

My Rode mic (2011) is held in place with a bunch of black rubber bands about half an inch long. Yesterday, I saw that most of them were broken. Unfortunately, there seem to be no replacements available. I'll have to try to rig up something on my own to hold the mic in place. It's the Rode VideoMic, similar to the one below, but the body, controls, and mount are different. I'll have to look into buying a new mount for it.

EDIT: I see that Adorama has a used one identical to mine, but I'm not going to spend $70 for rubber bands.

Will double-sided Velcro tape work? You can cut the length to fit and probably cut strips in half lengthwise as well.

This is not an attachment issue, you can attach the mic with duct tape - it’s about sound/vibration isolation, and all types of rubber do not have the same vibration propagation/dampening characteristics.

EDIT: They sell only one size at a time, but for $3.99, I get free shipping from China. I'll have to measure the ones on the mic and order that size.

I wonder if these are intended for human beings.

I like how they come with an animal name for each size.
I'll take a 100 monkeys please!
