Sony has announced three new APS-C lenses:

Every time I hear a full-frame user explain the benefits of full-frame over APS-C I have to ask, if a bigger sensor is better then why are you not using a medium format camera or even a view camera.

The full-frame users then explain to me how the full-frame cameras are easier to handle, more convenient and affordable than the medium frame cameras.

These are the EXACT same arguments I use to explain why I use APS-C format over full-frame!

Thaz how UHH "logic" works. A well oiled machine that almost never misses a beat.

Acoarst its not an information machine ... its an entertainment device. Theres some information here, the media term for it is "infotainment". Typically about 80/20 in favor of entertainment. Simply take it for what its worth, and enjoy :-)

The Full Frame has one advantage because people call it Full Frame it has a crop factor of 1. Even larger sensor has crop factor which is less than 1. But that's because people call it Full Frame so it became the size all others are compared against.

Bigger pixels are widely known to be the better pixels.

All of my Nikons are APS-Cs. Very happy with all of them.

I'm a full frame guy but...I'm also a firm believer in the expression "to each his own". In a free country, we're free to buy whatever we like. Stay happy with your APS-C and let the full framers be happy with their full frames. Everyone's a winner.

Every successful ending has a beginning. Shouldn't your journey begin with a full-frame camera?

If we're shooting raw, using LR, PS, and the Topaz trio of popular products and maybe one or two others, depending on your needs, I'm of the mindset that with todays offerings you should be able to get a satisfactory print out of any of the formats available today. If you don't use the above or similar products and want to go SOOC jpegs, then hedge your bets and go full frame.

I did start my journey with a full frame camera, a Nikon FTn.

My first full frame SLR camera was a Minolta SRT-101, and ended with a Nikon FTn. I'm using the Sony Alpha A-77 mostly now.
