I have posted many shots of anhingas sunning their wings to dry off after diving. This set shows an anhinga flapping its wings in preparation for its sun bath. I caught this anhinga in a flurry of wing movement with my high speed shutter setting. The result is several different wing positions.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Nice shots Mike

Swimming underwater they get completely wet. No trouble, they just need to remove the weight of water before flying.

Great set Mike, he sure managed to get himself thoroughly soaked before getting out of the water. They have no natural waterproofing like most water birds and can get themselves in real trouble if they get too wet

Really nice captures, Mike. That was quite the ritual for drying off

This one worked very hard getting that water off.
