I was not in that hallway nor were you. You have no idea what went on. But I have been in situations that were similar. Not once was a LEO afraid to do his job. But also not one was willing to give up his/her life needlessly.

That is so not true in a close quarters situation such as inside a building. What makes 22LR so dangerous is that it tends to bounce around and break up inside the body. A good 22LR will still go 12+ inches in a ballistic gel block, which according to the FBI, is considered effective. Military and LE around the world have utilized that round in various applications going back to WWII up to the present. Heck, the Israeli air marshals have famously defeated several hijack attempts by heavily armed terrorists using their issued 22Cal Beretta Model 71s.

With all due respect I have never heard of a .22 rimfire round bouncing around inside the body or breaking up. The bullet is made of soft lead at a relatively low velocity. I am not saying it cannot veer somewhat off a straight line after hitting flesh but I have not seen that in animals I have shot. I know of one case where a woman was shot with a .22 in the head. It did not penetrate but knocked her out. In another case a .22 rimfire struck a skull, did not penetrate but skidded along under the scalp to the other side of the head.

There you go, bringing up a common sense argument. You know that doesn’t work with the Left. They insist on something/anything being done and right now, too. I believe it was anti gun Diane Feinstein who when asked if a proposed gun law would work to stop crime, replied to the effect, No, but it would make the people think we are doing something.

Notice, I have asked several times for our fellow Attic members to come up with just one law that would stop school shootings and other mass murders. Not one person has ever come up with even one law that will achieve that goal. Truth is, there is no law that will ever do that. It is impossible.

The Left insists on no more AR and AK look alike rifles. They seem to think if there were no AR or AK rifles then murders would stop. But most mass murders are with other weapons, handguns or knives. Look at the large Democrat run cities, Chicago and Detroit. Hundreds of men, women and children murdered every year and NOTHING done about it. Does the Left ever go to these towns to protest, march in the streets demanding something be done? Nope. Chicago is Barack Obama’s home town. As President he did not go to Chicago to point out the lack of arrests, the lack of anything to stop the murders in the black killing fields. Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Race Baiters extraordinaire? Why are they not in Chicago and Detroit marching and demanding that something be done? Truth is, unfortunately, killings of blacks by blacks seems to be an accepted practice BY blacks. If it was whites murdering blacks all Racial Hell would be released. But it isn’t whites, just blacks killing themselves. What a shame it is acceptable to other blacks.
