God help and save the innocent children of the USA. How many more child innocents are not going to come home from school one day. Instead they are going to be slaughtered by some crazy lunatic who found it quite simple to get hold of guns. Isn't it about time you get the message, that some sort of gun laws are urgently necessary, or can you live with these heinous atrocities. 27 school shootings have taken place so far this year and we are still only in May.
How would you feel if it was one of your children or grandchildren etc etc etc..... How can you live knowing your children are in danger by just going to school???

The U.S. has surpassed 200 mass shootings this year....
The Gun Violence Archive, an independent data collection organization, has counted 212 mass shootings that have occurred so far this year, as of Tuesday. It defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more people were shot or k**led, excluding the shooter.

There are bad people any where in the world but why these kind of shootings only happen in the USA?

If the gun laws(in the thousands) that already exist are not enforced then enacting new ones that also won't be enforced is a waste of time and money.

I was teaching 4th graders at the time this happened; very sobering to think of this happening to students like mine in another part of the country. Condolences to the bereaved, wisdom to those who need to make decisions to try to stop this...

Really irresponsible response. Happy children with their lives before them slaughtered, and you say efforts to make more enforceable, better guns laws is a “ waste of time and money”. Shame on you.

What a sick country!! The NRA have the politicians by the short & curlies, they should be held to account for the deaths.

That's not what I said! Making new laws when existing ones aren't enforced doesn't solve the problem. There have to be consequences for committing a crime and using a firearm.

You are skirting the issue. There ARE now consequences in the books for committing crimes with or without a firearm.
Guns are too easily accessible—that needs to be seriously addressed, possibly with new laws. Don’t shut down the real issue because you have the right to own a gun. Children were slaughtered yesterday, families were destroyed—give that some thought

I may be in the minority but, this isn't a fix the gun law issue. This is a culture issue. How we raise our kids ,how we enforce existing laws. The lack of respect that people have for one another. You can outlaw the guns all you want , it does not and will not address the real problem. I feel for the families and the loss of these young lives. I would be destroyed if it was my grandkids. That said restricting guns is not and never will be the issue or cure. Talk to your children help them to understand and respect the value of life.except there are very bad apples, remove them from society and get them the real help they need. This is not an overnight fix or mandate , this will take a long time to cure. The FBI has said stop naming these people, don't make it a primary news item that focuses on the gun and shooter. Take away the fame. OK sorry for the rant, God help us, bring love into the hearts.

The culture is sick, but if the sicko that k**led 21 people yesterday had not been able to buy an assault rifle on his eighteenth birthday, this children would be alive and happy today, looking forward to summer vacation. Address the issue, don’t make excuses.

Guns have been around a long time... they're tools. What has changed is the motivation to use these tools destructively. What motivates someone to k**l others on a wholesale level? To what purpose? What satisfaction is gained?

Now that we admit that the motivation to k**l people has changed, perhaps we should address the tools that are used by these people, with their newfound motivation.

As an American, I do not understand how our politicians ignore the words "well regulated". Our politicians have sold their souls to the NRA, that won't allow any laws to be passed involving guns, so we have unregulated gun ownership and we are just forced to accept that children's lives are "just the cost" of freedom, because the gun some how equals freedom.

The number one k**ler of children in the US is guns.
