I am using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and it has 10X optical zoom which is very useful for photography. Apple does not offer much in the way of optical zoom. Also, Apple does not make it easy to move photos from your phone or to your phone. With Android phones, all you have to do is cut and paste on your computer. I have had two Apple phones and did not like the fact that Apple wants to maintain control of the phone, and they force you to do things their way. My Galaxy has image stabilization which makes videos very smooth, and the photos are excellent. In my opinion, what apple is best at is convincing people their average phone is the best on the market.
I'd get the GS 22Ultra. Great camera. Like the Android OS better than OIS.
Apps more plentiful and cheaper.
From an x-Apple fanboi.
Have a iphone 12 mini. Like everything Apple I find it is a pain to copy photos or music to or from them. Not sure I'll buy another Apple product
To all who have or will reply. Your info and comments are appreciated and are helping me making a decision.
As soon as I make the final decision, I'll post what we're going to do or have done.

Not sure this is the proper forum to sak this, but here goes.
My 2 GS10s are finally paid off and I thinking about switching to the iPhone 13 pro or staying with the GS22 ultra.
I've read many posts on this subject and not getting any definitive conclusions.
What are your thoughts and if you have any links for further reading, let me know.
Thanks in advance
The Iphone is made in China, let that sink in!
I switched from using android for 20+ years to iPhone 13 max pro. Took some time getting used to the change which I expected at 80 years old. But I was a rocket scientist so not too bad. I have an iPad Pro and MacBook Air so they all tap;k to each other without my assistance. And they all talk to my Tesla so life is good. I got started with computers in the mid 80s using Apple products at work so some of the new experiences were deja vu.
Not sure if this will reach all those who replied, so if I missed you, I apologize.
I have finally made the decision to go with the Galaxy S22+ for many reasons, mostly is that I'm not ready to retrain myself and my wife on the iPhone ecosphere (hope that is the correct word).
There were other factors to the decision such as being able to customize the iPhone the way I would like it, availability of apps that I use on Android, comments I've read here on UHH and elsewhere, etc.
So, again, thanks to all who replied and providing your honest opinions.
Till next post, have a great day, afternoon and evening!
