Don't know if Grandpa was "Sworn" or not. But with the POlice remember the meaning of "Last Word."

Some years ago a New York television station decided to follow state police cars that were driving way over the limit with no lights or sirens. They showed their speedometer and then showed the police car just cruising along. The cops got tired of that and ticketed the news crews so often that (if I remember correctly) some of the news drivers lost their license and the others decided not to push the point. So you can mess with them if you want but when their sense of humor reaches its end, they will make you pay. Just sayin'.

Let's face it, NY and California are of a different cloth. I'm not sure they believe in laws as much as they believe they are whatever they interpret them to be!

It's all about how they FEEL! Both ends of the spectrum in some ways but equally progressively poisonous in the end.

Yes, I drove into town! Such news to report!

There is a four-lane section of highway in such bad shape that they put up yellow signs and flags - "ROUGH ROAD." That was months ago. Today, one lane is covered with a layer of blacktop - about 3/4" thick.
I bought new eyeglasses, but the price has gone up. The Dollar Tree no longer charges $1.00 for everything. My glasses cost $1.25! Wow! A 25% increase!
Heading home, I was stopped at a red light in a four-lane, 45 MPH zone. Behind me was a NYC Emergency Police truck (We have NYC police here because of the reservoir.) I made a mental note to keep my speed at 45 when the light turned green. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough for the police. Looking in the rearview mirror, all I could see was grill. I stuck to the speed limit, and he soon sped past me and out of sight.

Well, that's all the news for now. Have a nice day!

I also went to town about a month ago and experienced the same increase in my glasses at the dollar store. I'm contemplating going back to work to offset the increase. We have only a county sheriff here. He also will remain glued to your bumper until he passes. Must be new police training to test if you get nervous. I did enjoy the new pavement on 127. It was like riding on air.

The title of your post has a bit of double entendre in it. 😉

Yeah, report the police to the police.
