"Your Mileage May Vary" I'm hearing this expression way too often, and I don't like it! Stop it!
I tend to like most expressions like this - expressions that fit many situations - but MPG doesn't fit into many situations. People should use words that are appropriate to the topic at hand Of course, people say lots of stupid things - "I'm going to go ahead and predrill some holes." "go ahead"? "predrill"? "I got a big enough of a bag of dog food." That "of a" is not necessary, but it seems as if people online are being paid to throw that in when it's meaningless. I could go on, but I'll stop here.

I don't mind how a person speaks and their choice of words as long as I can understand what they are saying. I find few things more annoying than trying to communicate with someone about something that I need or want to buy who speaks as though they have a mouth full of marbles.
