I think you have the wrong camera comparison. The D750 weighs 26.5 oz while the Z50 weighs a mere 14 oz almost one pound less. When you add the weight of the respective lenses, you will carry about 2 pounds less.

I am going on a Trip to Italy and Greece for 10 days. It will be my first visit to these counties and we are on tours everyday. I don't want to carry my heavy D750 or My D500 with me. Nikon Is Running a deal on The Z 50 refurbished with 2 lenses. A 16-50 3.5-6.3 and a 50-250 4.5-6.3 for $959.00. Does anyone have any experience with this camera and Lenses. Will it do justice to the to the subject I will be shooting. How is it in low light for some of the churches. I know you can’t shoot in the Vatican. Am I better served using a Sony RX 10 IV i can get from a friend.

Yes, I do and you will be ok with the equipment. It is my "go travel" equipment and it is very good. Small, light and the kit lens albeit not as good as some top lens they are very good and very close, and for the price unbeatable.

Hope you are going to the Dolomites area in the North and Venice (this last it is a must you are there when the day begins as after 9AM it is fully taken by tourists)... Italy is an unbelievable place but nothing less than 15 days and you will see only a very small part of it. Lake Braies in the North and the mountain passes are a must as well as some of the lifts around. Other great areas are Cinque Terre/Pisa, Florence, Bologna, and pretty much all of the country. I'm Brazilian, naturalized American and fell in love with Italy. I'm still planning at least 3 or 4 more trips there to Almafi Coast, Sicilia and other places I didn't go yet.

Be prepared with at least a couple of spare batteries and a lot of storage as you will get tired of pressing the shutter button. Enjoy it !

Cheers

Bought Z50 few months ago Love it!
Highly recommend it for travel ,light inconspicuous, does not yell expensive camera.
16-50 Collapsible lens very sharp, tiny.
Still my favorite is Tamron 16-300 with FTX adapter; little larger and heavier than Nikkor Z 50-250 but wider zoom
Great travel kit
Love 2 custom buttons

I love my Z50...it's a great "starter" for the Z line, but most of all, even with the sizing advantages, it's a crop sensor. I put my 100-400 S lens on it the other day...wow what fun! (Oh, I second the recommendations for extra batteries!)

Forget Low-Light as you will not be happy. You are probably not going to be doing action shots, so I would take your D750 and a 24-120 f/4 Lens and I believe that is what came with your 750. Then grab a 150-600 Tamron or Sigma, latest editions of course, and you will be all set. I try to spend the Month of August there every Year. Our Family owns a 60 Room Hotel right in Nafpaktos on the Sea. I have a D750 and the D500 along with my D850 and those are the only combos that I need. I really do not want to use my Z9 yet due to the dusty conditions, but I might try to take it to the Church in Thessaloniki.

As usual, you spout off without knowledge, just what you've read. The Z50 is a very small, and light, Dx body. Very useful when you just want to have a camera with you. Of course I could attach my 400/2.8 TC if I wanted to, but what would be the point of that!

I purchased this kit from Nikon last fall. I wasn't sure how much I would like the Z50 and two kit lenses but wanted a light kit for travel. I own and use a Nikon D750, D500 and Df plus top tier Nikon lenses. So I have good quality files to compare the Z50 files with. I am extremely pleased with the image quality I get from the Z50 and the kit lenses. In fact, the others have stayed in my closet since I got the Z50 kit. I take pictures mostly of landscapes, flowers and birds and publish a calendar every year for local sales. I can highly recommend this kit as it is lightweight and the quality of files is excellent. If you want more help with learning what this camera can do, I recommend the David Busch book about the Z50. If you get this kit you will really enjoy it.

I have the z50 with two kit lenses. My main camera is the D500. The z50 is OUTSTANDING! Light, menu is the same set up as other Nikon DSLRS. It has provided me with some very amazing shots when I have taken it with me for all day shooting or a bit of travel. I am going to Sonoma in the fall and plan to leave my d500 home. I am confident that I will get the images I want with the z50. Money well spent in my opinion!

The Z50 made me leave D5200 and D800E home plus all Fx lenses home
Have not used D5200 since I bought it and D800E only around the house for family portraits that planned to process further

I owned and recently sold the z50 with the two kit lenses. My only reason for selling was to go FF with a z7ii and/or the next generation of Nikon FF. Both lenses were sharp but I thought the 50-250 was exceptional. I used it all the time on the z50 even though I could have used several pro lenses with the FTZ adaptor.

Exactly. I just couldn't believe that such a cheap lens and a small sensor could render me images as the one it did. Ok, it is not a full blow Nikor fixed lens but it does a heck of a job for a zoom, and with the 2xTC it does not not lose much at all.

Can't speak to the 50-250, but the 16-50 is an excellent lens - very sharp corner to corner.

Absolutely. The Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm kit lens is quite remarkable given its size, weight, and price, When purchased as part of a kit with the Z50 body the lens only adds $100 USD to the price. If purchased on its own the lens sells for $300.

I just took 150 shots of my 7 month old Great-Grandson in about 90 minutes with the 50-250 kit on my Z50 and almost all were excellent SOOC. I shot indoors without flash at iso 3200 and 5000. I love the EVF! I got the adapter for my D7100's 18-140mm zoom, but now prefer the Z50-250. I'm just an amateur Great- Grannie, but I love it!
Again...thanks, Yssirk123!

Your very welcome Bubbee - glad to hear you're putting your Z50 to good use!

I love the Z50 and the kit lenses. I was REALLY blown away that it could take pictures at 14FPS. I thought NIKON was kidding - Guess what - It will. I shot a basketball game with it. Not that you have to shoot that way. That shows that NIKON was thinking out of the box. Loved both (16-50mm & 50-250mm) kit lenses. They are a REALLY good pair for travel/vacation photography. I believe you can't miss with that setup

The The Z50 with 16-50 is a steal, and produces spectacular images.
