I haven't downloaded them to have a closer look but I get the impression that the first two would benefit from some boosting, mostly contrast. I think it would give a bit of depth to the woods and some visual drama to boot.

I'm not sure about that. I did boost them pretty high. I don't like to abuse the sliders too much since that can add unwanted artifacts. I'll take a second look though. Thanks for the suggestion.

OMG, These images take me back years to the 50s and 60s and many wonderful hours spent in my canoe on many Pine Barrens water bodies and waterways. By all means take some slow float trips down the Mullica, Bass, and Wading Rivers.
….I’m verklempt !

We plan on doing a lot of canoeing this summer. Mullica, Wading, Cedar Creek, Batsto River and more. Should be a good opportunity to try a different perspective on photographing the Pines. Should be fun. Glad you enjoyed the photos.
