A very good morning "rmalarz",
Excellent image!!
I can only imagine that more than a few Fairies, Gnomes or Elves have called this beautiful location "home" over the past many centuries. This could very well be Old Man Willow himself sitting alongside the River Withywindle deep within Tom Bombadil's Old Forest having just released Pippin and Merry from his deadly roots.
Has J.R.R. Tolkien played a part in my life? You guessed it. I first read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in 1965 when it seemed to take the 60's generation by storm. At 72 years of age I have tried to repeat the read every year so it must 57 or so wonderful visits back to Middle Earth and Hobbiton. I honestly pick up or learn something new with each read.
Sorry, I've rambled on a little to long but as I said some time ago at the beginning of these message your image really is impressive and very well worthy of a suitable frame in which to be enjoyed by others - whether they are Tolkien admirers or not.
All the best to you and yours,
Terry
Excellent photography seems to be part of your Rootine!
An eye-catching image and the detail is incredible. Well done Bob.
Really sharp image. I'm assuming that you used a large format film camera.
I love the photo, Bob.
Not normally that big a fan of B&W, but this one is very nicely done.
I can't decide if this is a sinister creature reaching out to take over the world or just the creature from the black lagoon learning to survive the desert. Whatever, it's cool.
Thanks for the thumb, l-fox. I appreciate it.

Jack, thank you for the very nice comment and thumbs, I appreciate both.

Fantastic image!!! Bob
Terry, thank you very much for the compliment and the J.R.R. Tolkien allusion. There must be some influence there when it comes to finding these types of subjects to photograph. That is for those of us acquainted with those stories.
