I used my Sony a9 again but also had my Sony 600mm f4 lens, I really like this lens because it weighs 1/2 what my former Nikon 600mm f4 weighed. It is also center weighted making it very easy to hand hold.
This is important because you never know where birds are going to show up, you need to shoot quickly when you see the action, if your tripod or monopod equipped, by the time your ready to shoot, the image will no longer be there.
iso 800, 1/800 sec., continuous auto focus, I also used center point focus, and today I was shooting aperture priority because I was primarily shooting down, I also was at -1.7 EV.
