Great Blue Heron, Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Florida.
I used my Sony a9 again but also had my Sony 600mm f4 lens, I really like this lens because it weighs 1/2 what my former Nikon 600mm f4 weighed. It is also center weighted making it very easy to hand hold.
This is important because you never know where birds are going to show up, you need to shoot quickly when you see the action, if your tripod or monopod equipped, by the time your ready to shoot, the image will no longer be there.
iso 800, 1/800 sec., continuous auto focus, I also used center point focus, and today I was shooting aperture priority because I was primarily shooting down, I also was at -1.7 EV.
Thanks for looking.

Agreed, this image was taken at first light when, as you know, is very cool in color. I had a choice in post to warm it up but did not because the greens and sunlight looks good.
Thanks for your comment.

It's a wonderful shot but a little over-saturated to me. I still really like it, though.

Such a beautiful, gorgeous bird that I did not know came in this color, only thought white. Thanks
