You realize "Rokinon" is an anagram of, "or Nikon". Spooky huh? So there's your answer, keep your (more versatile and better) zoom, and scratch the, or nikon! Ray.
You will limit your photographic possibilities by limiting yourself to one very wide lens. If it were me I would simply add the 14, that way you could really have a nice range available to you. My opinion.
Its good, verrrrrry good, and eminently well advised to "limit your photographic possibilities". The more typical hogsters are incapable of it, but each individual wont ever really know for sure if they dont give it a full trial. Not "my opinion".

Hi and all the best for the reunion, I suggest you are aiming at a mystery, 'mystery' because you haven't had any experience with a 14mm. You will likely learn that the 14 mm will be most unlikely a lens(focal length) to do the task you are expecting of it - so I suggest you just go out and hire a 14mm of any make to gain some experience of the focal length/angle of view. I shouldn't need to reiterate others above by suggesting you keep your zoom.

If it's only one event, why not lease a wide angle lens and keep your Nikon? Opinions above seem to favor the Nikon as a much better lens. (I'm no expert here...I shoot Olympus M4/3).
