One of the sites visited by a 2007 tour by my church choir to the British Isles was Edinburgh, Scotland. I have previously posted a Set of photos of St. Giles Cathedral, but I don’t seem to have posted one about just the city.

Excellent set David, I am inspired by your travels! So many great shots of this historical place, hard to pick a favorite!
The Scott Monument and Piper may just be one though.....

Thank you very much. I also enjoyed the piper--I listened to him play for several minutes (and threw a tip into his box). Some time back I posted a Set of just the St. Giles Cathedral. I do have some shots of the castle--maybe some day I'll post a few of them (but it's been done by others a lot).

I once did a contract in Edinburgh and stayed at a hotel. One morning at the breakfast buffet, I asked a waiter what the bottle of Scotch was for. I did not expect his answer, "Ach, mon. We put that on our oatmeal."

Obviously, they want everyone to get a good start on their day. (I don't eat oatmeal or drink, so I'll pass.)
