Great that they keep announcing new Z lenses. That's all they are is announcements. What's the point if you can't purchase them in a timely manner?

Some people would like to know ahead of time what is coming. They might hold off getting an AF-s 800mm and adapter if they know a Z version will be available in the forseeable future, even if not in the near future. It might just incentivise another person to start saving for one.
