Google GetOlympus and you can see more details about each of the cameras EM1, EM5 and EM10. Then you have more information about the features of each camera when you start your shopping for a used body.

This site has a good buy/sell section that may help in finding a body and lens.
https://www.mu-43.com/forums/

I have two EM1 MK II bodies and five Olympus lens. Great kit.

Sorry to distract. What is a live composite? OR, can you point me in the right direction?

I wondered the same thing.

Then I found there's a really helpful tool on the Internet called "Google"...

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=live+composite+olympus

Now that I know what it is...

Personally I would never do in-camera composites like I see at those sites.

I would do (and have done) composites in post processing. That gives me much greater control over the results and potentially much better final image quality.

EVERY current Olympus has Live Composite, not just the OMD line but also the PEN cameras and the TG-6

It’s only one of the cool features that is unique to Olympus and that they call “computational photography”. Basically you set your exposure for a scene and take the shot. Then you press the shutter release a second time and the camera starts gathering “new” light. You basic exposure stays the same and only in spots where there is a new light source or a light source increases in intensity will it be captured. You can watch the light build on the screen and end it when you have what you want. Another cool feature is their digital ND filter. You can get up to 5 stops, (6 in the new OM-1). There is built in Focus Stacking. With High Res mode you can shoot a 50mp image handheld or 80mp on a tripod. And one of the really popular features is Pro Capture. Let’s say you have your camera trained in a bird you think is about to take off. You half press the shutter and it starts buffering. When the bird takes off you click. With most cameras you may have just missed the moment. But with Pro Capture it will save a certain number of shots from before the click and more after.

In the first place, there is no Olympus camera sporting 24 Mp. "The EM10-MkII is a great camera for this feature." I agree, it is a small body and very capable. The camera has 16 MP that in my experience are good enough for 13x19 enlargements, I seldom go larger.
The Live Composite feature that you are seeking is a great tool not only for daylight photography (using a neutral density filter) but also for night time photography which was the original intention of Olympus.

These cameras can be bought today at reasonable prices below your budget.

Some time in the next year or two, OMDS will be bring out a 32mp camera once they feel they have any noise issues under control. They almost brought the OM-1 out as the 32mp but felt they did not have enough time to resolve all the new issues including noise. What they did bring out was terrific. ISO the same as most full frame ISOs. I suspect the 32mp sensor might appear in a mkII version of the E-M1X (or whatever it will be called).

My Olympus is the PEN F, a really wonderful 20mp camera. Hard to find, as Oly has ceased production on this model, but they do come on the used market. from time to time.

I want to shout out a very big THANK YOU to all of the UHHers who responded to my post "Which Olympus". Each
and everyone was informative and helpful and to me this is what UHH is all about. Advice and suggestions from folks you feel you know from reading responses on many topics. Google is great but I never have a feel for who is responding, here I do.
My goal is to do light painting of "still life" compositions in a dark room. The live composite will allow me to see where I want light and just add it. At least that is the plan. Should keep me out of trouble for some time.
Again, thank you, I am going over each and every response in detail and will then make a purchase and start trying my hand at light painting. Of course just putting the composition together is the first hurdle but I do have some ideas.
You all have been so very helpful, stay safe and enjoy the day.

There are many tutorials on line and I am sure you have researched them by now. Rob Trek has one that you could find interesting and useful for what you want to do. If you have not watched the video before I hope it will help you with your project.

Very nice summary. All is this is above the OP budget but I think it might be a bit high. I had forgotten that the Tough6 has this feature. That might be a decent option.

I recently purchased this Pen-F and love it. So many features built into it when you're ready, and auto mode until then. Incredibly small and so light. I have the 14-42mm lens on it, which translates roughly into a field of view of 28-84mm. Not a big range, but so far I love it.

Those are junk. I will take it off your hands for $100

Seriously though, very nice product photo and great camera. I hope Oly decides to make a newer version soon...weather proofing?
