I love your excellent photographs of the Buffalo. Yes they might officially be bison but I go along with the old west version of calling them Buffalo and like you, to me Buffalo they will always be.

Love the pictures! I love the west. The buffalo is the best representative of the US west. A lot of history involving the buffalo.

Well, our country did celebrate it's "Bison-tennial" a few years back. 
I never heard anyone call it the "Buffalo-tennial".

Dan - I get you! I live in Wyoming and we have a "Buffalo" on our state flag. I love all your images but like the last one best. That's what we locals call Buffalo stink eye. It's generally the last thing a Yellowstone tourist sees before being gored and flung 15 feet in the air. These guys are THE MOST dangerous animals in Wyoming and account for more injuries and death each year than do grizzly bears!
