Question about selling equipment on UHH (Page 2): Cindy! I have successfully transacted about 10 purchases and one trade here on UHH. Mainly paid by check and several times via Paypal.

personal bona fides and references and would do my homework with prospective sellers and buyers (if I were
selling).

I have both bought and sold on UHH. Every transaction went extremely smooth. As buyer and seller both agree on a price, then agree on how payment will be made (I always preferred cahiers bank check, Certified bank check, or money order). then you must agree on who pays shipping and preferred shipping method ( I prefer USPS preferred, UPS or FedX) that way shipment can be tracked as it moves. Once package is shipped, payment is sent. The people I have delt with have been really great and honest people. I would never hesitate to buy or sell on UHH.

You might consider direct money transfers. No fuss, no muss, no postage.

Recently I sold dozens of Items here and I send the item and asked them to send me a check. I received every check with no problem. I even had some check out the item and then send me the check

I’m one of Butch’s purchasers. I’m so glad everything went well for him and it most definitely did for me!! Hoggers, I believe are honest.

PayPal "friends and family" payments do not include the buyer protection normally available to purchasers who use PayPal, so if I were a purchaser in what is really an arm's length transaction I'd be leery of a request to use that method.

I've sold a couple of cameras and several lenses on UHH. If the buyer was a short term member of the site I passed them by. If the member had been an active part of UHH for several years or more I just sent them the item and told them to mail me a check when they got it. Never had a problem. MTShooter put a check in the mail for my 70D before I even had a chance to ship it!

I just bought 2 cameras from wonderful people on this forum. I sent a check and when the check cleared they sent the cameras. The transactions went very smoothly. Great experience!
