francine his PROCLAMATION points out the fact that many people should not and will not agree with someone born with a penis winning medals in a womens’ sport. You yourself tell us you have a problem with this and are unsure of how to handle it. Well meet a Conservative Governor who doesn’t seem to be missing his balls as you are. He does know how to handle the situation. You just don’t like it because it is a Conservative doing what the Left Wingers won’t do.

Smart can be very hard to quantify. It is more than IQ and/or scholastic achievements.

No one is arguing that he is not smart. He is as much of a narcissist and more of a fascist than Trump, and a hell of a lot smarter - that is why he is so dangerous.
He is NOT a conservative. He interjects his state government into every aspect of our lives in Florida, overruling local government which has been voted in by our communities. He argues against mandates by pandering to "parents rights" - that the government should have no say in whether or not our kids (employees, customers, etc.) wear masks and then bullies high school kids who are wearing masks indoors according to CDC guidelines. He appoints people around him not for their capabilities but for their willingness to echo his desires. Corruption is no stranger to his administration, but the fact that the Florida legislature is mostly Republicans, he gets away with all sorts of things. Publix donated $500,000 to his PAC. Guess which pharmacy chain was the only provider of COVID vaccine for the first 3 or 4 months here in Florida? His surgeon general (Dr Ladapo - or Dr. Lapdog, as I call him) has TWO full-time jobs with the state, each paying well over $200,000. Three professor/scholars at UF were asked to testify in litigation about the role of the state (I forget the exact issue) and the University threatened them until the court ruled that they could not be prevented from testifying.
He has intervened in the requirement of hospitals to have a pharmacy and therapeutics committee to establish guidelines on the use of medications within their facilities.
His involvement in the NCAA transgender issue (which I will admit has no answer that will make everyone happy) is nothing but pandering to his base. As governor he has absolutely no role in this issue, but as a narcissist/fascist he felt compelled to interject himself into the issue.
So - those who think Mussolini was great because he made sure the trains ran on time love Desantis.
