The free version of CCleaner will get rid of leftover junk and it will find things left over in the registey. I have used CCleaner for years. Good program and the free version does about everything you need from the program.

Be sure to back up your registry before messing with it "Regedit" is huge
If you use CCleaner (free) to clean what is found in the registry it will ask you if you want to backup files and entries to be installed in case you need to put them back.

I have a Windows 10 PC with several programs that I no longer use or need. Does anyone know of a way to uninstall these programs cleanly, or is it a restore to factory situation to get rid of them? Thanks.

Read the post from TRIX below your post, and do that.
Be very very careful with CCleaner.
A few years ago it was excellent, now it's reputation has become somewhat tarnished, and is not highly recommended - AFAIK - by the technical cognoscenti.

You will notice that I referenced to the FREE version. They ruined it for me when they put the update section in and the Auto Cleaner section. One needs to carefully go through the options, and use only the parts of the program that were in the original program.

I use Revo from the start. I also have CC Cleaner and it removes left over files when I shut down my browser. I know that CC Cleaner can remove programs but it is NOT my first thought.

When you do this in Windows, it sometimes leaves junk in the registry. Revo Uninstaller uses the Windows uninstaller first and then scans for left over files and registry entries and asks if you want to get rid of them.
I have a printer that I uninstalled. Now when I try to reinstall the printer driver I get a message that there are still two files that need to be removed before the driver can be reinstalled. Will RevoDriver get rid of them for me since the driver program itself is no longer listed in my Windows apps?
Revo is unlikely to find two remaining files if all others are no longer present.
Is there any way to reinstall the exact same software under Revo and then use Revo to uninstall?
You could also search for the files manually and delete them if you know their names, or perhaps look for the parent folder and delete it.
Be VERY careful that you are deleting the correct files! An easy way to be sure is to rename them before deleting, and/or rename the folder, reboot, then reinstall your software. If the error is no no longer encountered you have probably but not 100% certainly resolved the issue. Wait a while - a few days perhaps - before deleting your renamed files to ensure that they don't in fact belong to some other program.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, alexol. If I recall correctly, when I try to reinstall the driver, it tells me the names of the two files that need to be removed. Assuming I have that info, now all I have to do is work up the courage to follow your directions and remove them from the registry. :)
File names or registry entries? Big diff!
If file names, try the renaming idea. If it is wrong, simply restore the original names. Usually I just add either an "X" to the front of the file name or an X to the file extension (or both to be sure to be sure, as the Irish would say) and its easy to reverse. "Program.exe" would simply become "Xprogram.exex" and is no longer recognised by Windows as a program and so is ignored. At any point a simple Win search for anything on my HD name *.exex will find the renamed file(s).

If you chose to edit the registry with Regedit, make sure it creates a backup of the registry before you continue - I believe that’s the default.
If you need to tinker with the registry, my first piece of advice would be simply don't unless you absolutely have to, and feel comfortable doing it.
If proceeding, the very first step is to back it up, via EXPORT command, highlighting the word computer first to ensure you back up the entire registry.
