I have a Windows 10 PC with several programs that I no longer use or need. Does anyone know of a way to uninstall these programs cleanly, or is it a restore to factory situation to get rid of them? Thanks.

I use Revo Uninstaller. Use the the advanced procedure to get rid of the all the files.

Just right click on the start button in the lower left corner of the screen, then choose settings, then applications, then chose the Ap you wish to uninstall from the list, and choose uninstall.

When you do this in Windows, it sometimes leaves junk in the registry. Revo Uninstaller uses the Windows uninstaller first and then scans for left over files and registry entries and asks if you want to get rid of them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them and let you know.

That is why I use Revo. It has a paid and free version. Both have a registry cleaner. The paid version can be installed on a flash drive.

In old PCs I have frequently come across applications for which the computer has lost track of the uninstall files. Settings may list the application but uninstall fails.
Sounds like Revo takes care of those problems. I usually just left the junk in the registry.

Yup, you need to clean the registry of any files with some sort of program name that relates to the program uninstalled. I use to know how to do it but it has been so long.
Be sure to back up your registry before messing with it "Regedit" is huge

CCleaner (Free) works well for me.

Do you have to use Revo right from the start, or can it remove stuff that is left over after Windows removes a program?

Are you sure Revo uninstalls programs that were already on the computer before installing Revo?
+1 for Revo Uninstaller.
In a perfect world, you would install with Revo so it has a record of where are the files go, but it can also be used after the event.
I frequently forget to install with it, but it seems to find an amazing number of files to remove regardless.
I have only positive things to say about Revo - well worth the purchase price. I use it on my Android phone too as I'm always adding and removing apps.
Very definitely use it in advanced mode, btw.
